This Arizona producer strikes again with a delightful expression of Tempranillo. A properly vinous fruit profile gets a bump from bold peppery spice. It’s quite expressive and is showing a fine balance between fruit selection and winemaking. I like the pepper notes, which are somewhat less common in domestic Tempranillo than in their Spanish counterparts, and they are very well integrated here. It is very long on the finish, with spice and fruit riding together. Impressive!
