Find the original review here.
Crafted from high-desert vineyards in southeastern Arizona, this limited-production Tempranillo delivers a bold, complex profile that showcases the region’s unique high-elevation terroir with a vibrant balance of rich dark fruits, balanced acidity, warm baking spices, and fine-grained structure.
• In the Glass: Deep garnet with a shimmering ruby-red rim.
• On the Nose: Aromas of Bing cherry, ripe blackberry, cedar, cigar box spice, and subtle espresso and dark chocolate.
• On the Palate: Rich flavors of tart cherry, plum, and cocoa nibs balanced by ground peppercorn, earthy dried herbs, and a chalky mineral backbone.
• The Finish: Lengthy and warm, leaving lingering hints of spiced plum, sweet tobacco, and toasted oak spice.
Pro Tip: Serve at room temperature (65°F) after a 45-minute decant to let the aromatics fully unfold. Pair with grilled steak, or rich pasta dishes with red sauce.
