Wine Reviews:
2023 Aridus Malvasia Bianca - Arizona, USA
Classical sweet fruit aromatics, of muscat grapes, elderflower liqueur and sweet white florals. The palate is lithe, though off-dry, with sweet plum fruits, a spicy ginger character, and a fleshy peach finish. (88 points)
2023 Aridus Sauvignon Blanc - Arizona, USA
Planted in the Arizona desert at 5,200ft, this Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Aridus estate Vineyard. Grilled pineapple, honeysuckle and ripe mangoes on the nose. Rounded, sweet tropical notes of guava and pineapple predominate the palate. (90 points)
2022 Aridus Malbec - Arizona, USA
Juicy, dark fruits and elegant spices mark the aromas of this desert-grown Malbec from Cochise County. The palate is silken, with rich, dark fruits and elegant tannins. Sweet, dark berries and exotic spices mix with smoky clove and rich notes of baking chocolate. Fine and refined on the finish. (91 points)
2022 Aridus Graciano - Arizona, USA
Aromatically fruit-driven, this Graciano from Cochise County vineyards clocks in at a whopping 16% alcohol, and the presence is evident on the nose, where sweet Christmas spice and black plums mingle with dark black and blue berries. The palate exhibits black fruits and spice, accompanied by a notable phenolic heat. (89 points)
2021 Aridus Cabernet Franc - Arizona, USA
From the Chiricahua Foothills in southeastern Arizona, and the Cochise County appellation, this Cabernet Franc offers a fruit-forward nature that is brightly balanced by savoury notes of eucalyptus and anise. The palate is a melange of dark berries and plums, savoury wild desert scrub and streaks of mineral graphite. (94 points)
2021 Aridus Tempranillo - Arizona, USA
A high-octane Tempranillo with a core of cocoa nibs, dark Bavarian chocolate and sweet black liquorice with a touch of phenolic heat. The palate is luxury, velveteen notes of black plums and Christmas spice, vanilla bean and a touch of heat to finish. (89 points)
