After a hiatus, we returned to Arizona for a wine from Aridus Wine Company in early June. The 2020 Viognier produced & bottled by Aridus Wine Company would be a great companion for shellfish. Today, we're going back to Aridus Wine Company for this red wine:

2019 Tempranillo produced & bottled by Aridus Wine Company (Willcox, Arizona).

This wine is 100% estate grown tempranillo from Cochise County. It comes in at 14.3% ABV.

Here it is in the glass:

One more:

The wine showed a dark ruby color. Black cherry, raspberry, blackberry, plum and oak could all be found on the nose. Black cherry, raspberry preserves, cassis and vanilla comprised the bulk of the lush palate followed by notes of mossy earth and oak. The wine was full-bodied and exhibited great length along with soft tannins. It would pair very well with a classic Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich.

Stay tuned for more from Aridus Wine Company!
