Aridus' 2020 Cabernet Franc: The Amateur Sommelier

Year: 2020

Tasting notes: Made from grapes coming from the unlikely area of New Mexico, this wine is deliciously fruit forward, and full of contrasting attributes tgat help to balance out the glass. The aroma is rich with , plum jam, some floral notes, and vibrant cedar and vanilla. The taste evolves from the aroma with a strong taste of cherry preserves, plum, tyme, baking spice, orange zest, oak, and some vanilla that emerges in the aftertaste. There is a nice light acidity that lingers for a moment that helps to elevate the fruit taste. A dryness creeps its way in after a moment that kind of makes way for the more herbal components while helping to break up the fruit a little.
