This is sold out. Please select our next year's vintage, if available.
Appearance: Dark crimson plum color. Nose: Jammy and "port-like."
Asmundson Family Vineyards
Full-bodied plum and raisin flavors with oak and vanilla.
We sourced the fruit for the Tank 12 from Asmundson Family Vineyards in Cochise County, harvested September 2014, where it was vinted and bottled in Willcox, Arizona in November 2015.
Oak and stainless steel
This Arizona blend brandishes aromatics of zesty plum, spicy nutmeg and cassis before giving way to leathery blackcurrant on the palate with a finish of orange zest. This limited addition wine is light garnet/dark crimson plum in color, and has a pleasing spice and berry notes. A touch of residual sugar rounds out the palate and brings out the jammy tones, a “port-like” wine. This wine makes a great everyday bottle to reach for with dinner. A great and affordable, quaffer.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs amazingly with stone ground chocolate and savory foods like roasted meats and game, aged cheeses (especially blue cheese) and charcuterie. Rare duck breast or duck confit is delicious with this wine.

I found the taste to be close to the listed notes. It is a very interesting wine, with flavors that improve while you enjoy the glass. The blend is not listed on the label, but there were no negative flavors. I served it a little cool, maybe 65 degrees. This wine is a bargain, and very drinkable, too.
