2014 Petite Sirah
2017 Winner San Francisco International Wine Competition
A deep purple hued wine with aromas of fresh plums, cassis, and blackberry bolstered by vanilla and heavily toasted oak. The flavor hits you upfront with fresh berries before giving way to a long finish of vanilla and espresso.
The fruit that went into this wine was brought into the winery on September 2nd, at just over 25° Brix. It was immediately inoculated, and fermented over six days. After fermentation it was barreled down and stayed in barrel until May of 2016.
