2017 Winner San Francisco International Wine Competition
Clear, deep ruby-purple with aromas of strawberry jam, licorice and leather. The flavor is of bing cherries, with a distinct Syrah gamey quality, black pepper and lingering notes of wood shavings.
The fruit that went into this wine was harvested at 26.5° Brix and brought into the winery on September 1st. It fermented over the course of five days, and rested in barrel until May of 2016.
